Plantar fasciitis, the most usual reason for heel pain, happens when a hard group of tissue that bumps into the bottom of foot and links the heel bone to the toes get inflammation.
This foot problem is the main reason for feeling stabbing pain with first steps in the morning. When a patient gets up and walks, the pain gradually reduces. But after a long time of standing or sitting, the pain will return.
